Why is there a difference between the LTP and closing price on NSE?

The reason for the difference between the closing price on the NSE and the last traded price (LTP) is that the LTP represents the actual last traded price, while the NSE's closing price is calculated as a weighted average of the last 30 minutes of trading. As a result, the closing price on the daily charts also does not match the LTP since it is updated using the NSE Bhavcopy's closing price.
