Can an existing Zerodha account be converted to a Zerodha IDFC First bank 3-in-1 account?

A Zerodha account can be converted to a 3-in-1 account if the primary account mapped to the Zerodha account is an IDFC FIRST Bank account. To change the primary bank account to IDFC see, How can I change my primary bank account?

To understand the benefits of a 3-in-1 account, see What is Zerodha-IDFC FIRST Bank 3-in-1 account, and what are its benefits?

Enable the 3-in-1 facility by visiting, my.idfcfirstbank.com/dl/b8a4131a-55d6-4255-b720-56e032adb261 . This must be authenticated with the OTP sent to the registered mobile number.

If the IDFC bank account is a joint account, visit signup.zerodha.com/idfc to download and print the pre-filled 3-in-1 POA. It allows the transfer of money to the Zerodha account without any additional authentication. See, How to fill up the 3-in-1 POA form?

The signed 3-in-1 POA must be sent to the following address (via post, registered post, speed post or courier):

Zerodha,
153/154, 4th Cross, J.P Nagar 4th Phase,
Opp. Clarence Public School,
Bengaluru - 560078

If 3-in1 facility is enabled online, CDSL TPIN would be required to sell the securities from the demat account. To avoid entering CDSL T-PIN, a POA can be sent. See What is Power of Attorney (POA), and why is it needed?
