What is the lot size for an IPO?

Lot size refers to the minimum number of shares that must be purchased. For example, the lot size for the IPO of ACD company is 32 and the price is ₹450 to ₹465. The minimum amount required to apply for this would be ₹14,880 (32 * ₹465). All orders will be a multiple of the lot size. To apply for 2 lots the minimum required amount would be ₹29,760 (64 * ₹465).

Did you know? For SME IPOs, shares can be bought and sold in the secondary market only in the multiples of the lot size.
