Why did my index option AMO market order get rejected?

Your index option AMO is rejected because market orders are not allowed as a precaution to avoid high impact costs. This precaution ensures that market orders are not executed at prices far away from the current price at market open due to illiquidity. Please use limit orders instead to avoid high impact cost. To know more,  see What are limit and market orders ?

Did you know? If you want the limit order to act as a market order, you can place the limit price higher than the expected market price in case of a buy order and lower in case of a sell order. To know more, See How to use limit order as a market order?
