Why was the stop loss order triggered without the trigger price being hit as per the charts?

The stop loss order may have been triggered without the trigger price being hit as per the charts due to the limitation of trading and charting platforms. These platforms typically display only one tick (buy/sell transaction on the exchange) per second on a chart. However, there could be multiple ticks occurring within that one second. Consequently, it is possible that the execution of the stop loss or limit price occurred within a tick that was not visible on the chart, regardless of the platform used (such as NSE, Yahoo, NEST, or others). The executed trades can be verified on the exchange. To learn more, see How to check all the trades placed with the broker on the exchange?
