How to create and apply tags on Console?

Tagging is now available on Kite web. To learn more, see What are Kite tags, and how to use them? For a video walkthrough on tagging, see Tagging on Kite and Console.

To create tags on Console, follow these steps:

  1. Click on Portfolio and then Tags.
  2. Click on Manage tags.
  3. Click on New Tag.
  4. Select a colour, enter the tag name and description, and click Save.

To apply tags to holdings, follow these steps:

  1. Click on Portfolio and then on Holdings.
  2. Click on Options and then on View tags.
  3. Select the tags to be applied and click on Apply tag.

Different tags for different trades in the same instrument can be added. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Click on Options and then on View breakdown.
  2. Click on Change tags.
  3. Add the tags to the required individual trade.
  4. Click on Apply tags.

To apply tags from P&L, follow these steps:

  1. Click on Reports and then on P&L.
  2. Select the segment, P&L and enter the date range.
  3. Click on Options and then on View breakdown.
  4. Click on Change tags.
  5. Select the respective tags and click on Apply tags.

To know which tag has been the most profitable, least profitable, and most traded on Console, click on Portfolio and then Tags.
