What are tags and how to use them?

Tags is a feature that allows investors to categorise and track their investments efficiently. It serves as a journal to monitor performance across asset classes like equity and mutual funds. Additionally, tags can be used to track specific goals, such as saving for retirement, a vacation, or education, helping investors stay organized and focused on their financial objectives.

To create and apply tags, follow these steps:

  1. Tap on Holdings.
  2. Tap on the instrument.
  3. Scroll up and tap on View breakdown.
  4. Tap on the searchbar and then on +New tag
  5. Select a colour, enter the tag name and description, and tap on Save.
  6. Tap on Apply tags.


Kite web

  1. Click on Holdings.
  2. Hover over the holding and click on Options.
  3. Click on View breakdown.
  4. Click on the search bar and then on +New tag.
  5. Select a colour, enter the tag name and description, and click Save.
  6. Click on Apply tags.

Tags can be modified or deleted by tapping on Manage tags in the breakdown section.
