What documents are required to change the company name in a corporate account?

To change the company name in a corporate demat account, the following documents are required:

Type of document Requirements
KYC form
  • All the authorised signatories or directors must sign the KYC form (PDF) and have the company seal.
    KYC form sample copy (PDF).
Certificate of incorporation
  • A copy of the certificate of incorporation with the new company name with the seal and signature of the authorised signatory or director.
Account opening annexures
  • Board resolution on the company letterhead where the change in company name was approved.
  • Annexure A on the company letterhead (PDF). Annexure A sample copy (PDF).
Request letter from the company
  • A letter from the company requesting a change in name.
Account modification form
  • Account modification form (PDF) signed by the authorised person or director with the company seal. Account modification form sample copy (PDF).
PAN
  • A PAN copy of the company with the new name with seal and signature of the authorised signatory or director.
Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) certificate
  • MCA certificate with the seal and signature of the authorised signatory or director.
