If you are opening a minor account, the guardian must e-sign the forms using the guardian's Aadhaar. If you use the minor's Aadhaar instead, you will see an error message. If you are using the guardian's Aadhaar and still face the error, you need to update the name before e-signing.
You need to ensure the name on your Aadhaar matches the name in your digital signature (e-sign). If they differ, your e-signed forms will be rejected.
How to update your name during e-signing
Follow these steps to update your name while e-signing on Digio:
- Click on Change name and Proceed.
- Enter the Aadhaar number.
- Click on Send OTP.
- Enter the OTP.

Verify OTP.
Once you update your name, you can continue e-signing the document.
If you do not want to change your name, you can click on Proceed and complete the e-sign process.
