Why can’t bank account details be added or changed?

Bank account details cannot be added or changed due to the following reasons:

  • Incorrect IFSC entered. A common mistake is typing the alphabet O instead of the number 0 or vice versa. The IFSC is 11 character alpha numeric code that needs to be entered correctly.
  • The bank branch or IFSC is not recognised by CDSL.

If you are unable to add or change bank details, please create a ticket with bank proof. The bank proof can be one of the following: A self attested copy of the bank statement or cheque displaying the IFSC and MICR code clearly. Zerodha will contact CDSL to update the IFSC within 48 hours, following which clients can proceed with adding or changing bank details.
