Can a Paytm bank account be used to open a Zerodha account?
No, a Paytm bank account cannot be used to open a Zerodha account, as all debit and transactions to the bank were stopped on 15th March 2024 due to non-compliance (PDF).
If a Paytm bank account was linked as the primary bank account, funds cannot be added even from the secondary bank accounts that are linked to Zerodha.
Clients who had earlier linked PayTM payments bank accounts must link a different savings, current or Cash Credit (CC) account. To learn how to change the bank account, see How to change the primary bank account?
