Why did the account opening process stop stating the IP address is outside India or not detected?

As per the SEBI circular (PDF), intermediaries must ensure the client's physical location is in India while onboarding. The IP address is restricted to India while opening an account to comply with the regulations. The IP address may be detected as outside of India, if the client is using a VPN.

If the IP address is not being detected, retry with an alternative network.
