Why am I getting a “wrong DOB entered” error while opening an account with Zerodha?
The “wrong DOB entered” error occurs because of your date of birth being incorrectly updated in the records of the KYC Registration Agency (KRA). While opening an account, we fetch details from the KRA for verifying your KYC (Know Your Customer) details on our signup page, and if there’s a mismatch between the data fetched from KRA and the data you have, entered, it will show the error Date of birth mismatch.

Note: This error occurs if you are KRA verified. If you are not KRA verified, you can proceed with the account opening process by verifying your Aadhaar via the Digilocker process.
