What does the error 'There may be a discrepancy with this stock' shown for a stock in Kite mean?

This discrepant alert arises when the buy average of a scrip in your holding is unavailable. This happens when, you've made an off-market transfer into your Demat account, received stocks via  Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPS), IPOs and corporate actions like bonus, splits etc.

In case you have made an off-market stock transfer into your Demat account, you can enter the buy average for the discrepant scrips in Console and fix this. The detailed steps are explained in this support article.

Note: The buy averages for IPOs and corporate actions will be updated from our end and you don’t have to make any entries on Console.
