Clients are able to unpledge their pledged holdings up to the extent of the unused collateral. If the collateral is being used for positions taken, the unpledge request will be rejected. In such cases, clients will need to bring in cash or square off their position in order to proceed with unpledging their pledged holdings. Before placing the unpledge request, clients must ensure that any negative balance in their trading account is cleared.
