How to add family members to a Zerodha account?
To add family members, follow these steps:
Kite app
- Tap on Portfolio.
- Tap on Family.
- Tap on Link a sub- account.
- Tap on Link a sub-account again and enter their user ID, PAN and mobile number.
- Tap on Continue.
- An SMS with the verification link will be sent to the mobile number of the sub-account holder, which will be valid for 2 hours. The sub-account holder has to authorise the request by tapping on the verification link and login to Console using the sub-account holder's login details. The parent account holder can only view the portfolio of a sub-account after authorisation.
- Visit kite.zerodha.com/holdings and click on Family.
- Click on Link a sub-account.
- Enter the sub-account’s Kite user ID, PAN, and mobile number and click on Continue .

The sub-account holder has to authorize the request by clicking on the verification link and login to Console using the sub-account holder's login details. To analyse portfolios at a family level, follow these steps:
- Click on Portfolio.
- Click on Holdings.
- Click on Family.
To remove sub-accounts, follow these steps:
- Click on Family.
- Click on Remove and then Continue.
