When you exit long/buy option positions or enter new write/short options, you can use the proceeds or credit of option premium for only new long/buy option trades on the same trading day and only within the same segment. Proceeds from equity options cannot be used for currency options and vice versa.
However, you can use these proceeds or option credits for other trades from the next trading day.
