What is the position limit for agricultural commodities?

The client shall be responsible for squaring off all open positions. While Zerodha may square off positions, it is under no obligation to do so. The selection and sequence of such square-offs are at Zerodha's sole discretion. Zerodha shall not be held liable for any loss or damage resulting from exercising or not exercising this right. To learn more, see Risk Disclosure Document (RDD).

MCX sets maximum position limits for both clients and brokers when trading commodities, as specified in this circular. You can trade only in the current month's contract of Mentha oil with Zerodha. The position limit for Mentha oil is 167.5 quantities.

You cannot trade in Kapas and Cotton Candy due to illiquidity. If you place an order above the specified position limit (167.5 quantities for Mentha oil), you will see an error message preventing the order execution.
