You see the error DDPI cannot be enabled online for your account. Please initiate request offline if you have an NRO account, non-individual account, joint account or do not have a demat account with Zerodha.
How to activate DDPI offline
To activate the DDPI for your Zerodha account, follow these steps:
- Download the DDPI (PDF).
- Fill out the form.
- Courier it to the following address:

Ensure that your signature on the documents matches your signature in the Zerodha account.
The DDPI will be activated within 72 hours of receiving it, and a confirmation email will be sent once it is processed.
Refer to the sample copy of the DDPI (PDF) to learn how to fill the DDPI. Client ID is the 16-digit Demat ID that can be found by visiting console.zerodha.com/account/demat. Incase of joint accounts, all the account holders must sign the form.
