You see the error Bank account addition cannot be processed online for your account. Please initiate request offline if you are an NRI, have a joint account or do not have a demat account with Zerodha. You must follow the offline process to add secondary/tertiary bank accounts.
How to add secondary/tertiary bank account offline
To add the secondary/tertiary bank account, follow these steps:
- Print the Account Modification Form (PDF). You can refer to the sample copy (PDF). If you have a joint account, all account holders must sign the form.
- Enter your bank details and sign in the F box. Ensure that your signature on the documents matches your signature in the Zerodha account.

Provide bank proof. You can submit any of the following:
- Personalised cancelled cheque with your name printed

Bank statement or passbook with your name, IFSC and MICR numbers clearly visible

Zerodha will process your request within 48 working hours and send you a confirmation email. Changing the secondary bank account is free of charge.
You can only use secondary bank accounts to transfer money to your Zerodha account. You cannot make withdrawals into your secondary bank account and can only make withdrawals into your primary bank account.
