RTAs perform these key functions:
- Collect applications from investors for any share issue.
- Maintain proper records of applications and money received from investors or paid to security sellers.
- Assist companies with:
- Determining the basis of allotment of securities in consultation with the stock exchange
- Finalising the list of persons entitled to allotment
- Processing and dispatching allotment letters, refund orders, certificates, and other related documents for an issue
