Is there a limit on how much funds I can transfer to my trading account?
Yes, there are some limitations on the funds that you can transfer per transaction.
For UPI transfers, the overall transfer limit is 1L per day, whereas there could be further restrictions on a per transaction on a bank to bank basis.
For e.g. BOI allows 1 Lakh per day, but not more than 10,000 per transaction.
For IMPS/NEFT/RTGS transfers, the bank decides the maximum amount per transaction. Generally, it’s Rs. 2 Lakh per transaction for IMPS, but you can confirm with your bank regarding the exact amount.
For Kite gateway transfers, the maximum amount is 1 Cr. per transaction. You will have to make multiple transfers if you want to transfer more than 1 Cr.
- You will not be able to add a fractional amount when you are using the payment gateway and UPI. e.g. 100.03 is a fractional amount, so you can either transfer 100 Rs or 101 Rs.
- The number of attempts to add funds restricted in UPI is 35, and Net Banking is 25.
- There are no restrictions on the amount of money that can be kept in your trading account.
