How do I activate Coin?
Coin is activated by default for all users with a Zerodha demat account. Your Coin account can be marked inactive if -
- You have recently opened your Zerodha account. It can take up to 24 hours from your account opening for Coin to be activated automatically. You don't have to undertake any action.
- Your account has been marked dormant due to inactivity in the last 12 months. You can complete your Re-KYC to start investing. You will not be able to see your holdings on Coin if the account is marked as dormant. You will be able to view them on Console, but you will not be able to transact.
- You have opened an account with us before September 15, 2015, your demat account would be with IL&FS. You can activate Coin by switching your demat account from IL&FS to Zerodha.
- If you have a Zerodha trading account but not a demat account, you will need to open a Zerodha demat account to activate Coin. Click here for the process to open a demat account.
After activating your Coin account, you can automate fund transfers for your SIPs by setting up an e-Mandate .
