You can add a trusted account on CDSL Easiest to transfer stocks from your demat account. You need to add accounts as trusted before you can transfer securities to them through CDSL Easiest.
Adding a trusted account
Follow these steps to add a trusted account:
- Log in to web.cdslindia.com/myeasitoken/home/login.
- Click on Miscellaneous and then Edit Trusted Account.
3. Click on Add Trusted Account and enter the 16-digit CDSL BO ID where you want to transfer stocks. If you are adding a Zerodha account as trusted, you can find the BO ID on Console. Securities transferred to an incorrect BO ID cannot be reversed, similar to a fund transfer to the wrong bank account.
CDSL will approve your trusted account within 24 working hours, after which you can transfer stocks to that account.
Things to keep in mind
- You can only add CDSL demat accounts as trusted accounts using this process
- You can map up to 4 trusted accounts at any time
- If you need to add a new account when you already have 4 trusted accounts, you must delete an existing mapped account first

CDSL approves deletion requests within 24 working hours
- You can also transfer shares from Zerodha to NSDL demat accounts via CDSL easiest. However, you cannot add an NSDL BO ID as a trusted account, and shares can only be transferred by selecting the account of choice transfer option.
- If someone wants to transfer shares from another CDSL broker to your Zerodha account, they need to log in to web.cdslindia.com/myeasitoken/home/login with their existing broker details and add your Zerodha account as their trusted account.
For joint and non-individual accounts
If you have a joint or non-individual account, you need to courier the prefilled Trusted Account Form with both transferor and transferee signatures to:
