How can I convert physical SGB purchased from the bank/other financial intermediaries?

Physical SGBs bought through a bank or other financial intermediary can be converted to demat form by submitting the dematerialisation request to the issuer banker or financial intermediary. The bank/intermediary will upload the data in the e-Kuber portal of RBI to process your request.

In order to process the dematerialisation request, a copy of your CMR (attested by the DP) will be required. You can check what CMR is and how to request a copy in this article .

Note: If you have purchased the SGB through any bank, you have to contact the Nodal branch of the bank.
