You need to notarise your PAN card, passport, and Indian and foreign address proof only if your PAN is not KYC verified as an NRI, as per CVL-KRA requirements (PDF).
Check your KYC status
- Visit cvlkra.com.
- Click on KYC inquiry.
- Enter your PAN and captcha.
- Click Submit to fetch your status.
Check the KRA and KYC Status column to identify the KYC Registration Agency (KRA) where your KYC is registered. If the KYC status shows validated/registered, your KYC is up to date, and you do not need to notarise your documents.

Online

Offline
Visit any of the following authorities with your original PAN card, passport, and Indian and foreign address proof:
- Authorised officials of overseas branches of scheduled commercial banks registered in India
- Public notaries
- Court magistrates
- Judges
- Scheduled commercial banks or multinational banks registered with India (view the list of banks at www.rbi.org.in/commonman/english/scripts/banksinindia.aspx )
- Indian embassy or consulate general in your country of residence (visit eoi.gov.in)
- Any Zerodha office, if you are physically present in India
The attesting authority should affix a Verified with the original stamp and mention their name, designation, signature, and date on the documents.
