Is it possible to apply for an IPO in both the shareholder and retail categories through Zerodha?

An individual can submit an application for an IPO in both the shareholder and retail categories, as long as it is not prohibited by the company in the red herring prospectus, using the same demat account. Only one active IPO application can be made by selecting the desired category through Kite. To learn more about selecting categories, see How to apply for an IPO in the existing shareholder category?

If an application has already been submitted through Zerodha for one category and an individual wants to apply for the IPO in another category, they can use net banking ASBA. However, Zerodha supports up to ₹5 lakh for the employee category, while ASBA can be used for higher amounts. To learn more about applying through ASBA, see Is it possible to apply for an IPO without using UPI?
