Can I apply for an IPO in both the shareholder and retail category through Zerodha?

You can make an application in both shareholder and retail categories for an IPO (unless specifically disallowed by the company in the Red Herring Prospectus) using the same demat account.

However, you can make only one active IPO application by selecting the category you want to apply for through Kite. You can click here to check how an IPO application can be made in your selected category.

In case you have made your application through Zerodha in one category, and also want to apply for the IPO in another category, you can use netbanking ASBA .

Note: For the employee category, up to ₹2 lac is supported on Zerodha. However, ASBA can be used to apply for a higher amount. See What is ASBA?
