How to add funds to Zerodha using a cheque?

To add funds using a cheque, follow these steps:

  1. Use Zerodha Broking Ltd as payee to transfer funds to the equity account.
  2. Use Zerodha Commodities Pvt Ltd to transfer funds to the commodity account.
  3. Mention the Kite user ID on the back of the cheque.
  4. Courier the cheque to:
    153/154, 4th Cross, J.P Nagar 4th Phase,
    Opp. Clarence Public School,
    Bengaluru - 560078

If the cheque is deposited directly in any HDFC branch, create a ticket and attach a scanned copy of the cheque or the debited bank statement, which includes the bank account number. This is requested to verify that the amount is transferred from the bank account linked with Zerodha, since Zerodha does not receive the sender's bank account details. The trading account is updated once the cheque is cleared, which can take up to 5 working days.
