Why is the circuit limit showing differently on Kite after the stocks circuit limit has already been hit?
Once the circuit limit for a stock in equity is hit, the trading is halted temporarily, and the next circuit limit is updated. Hence the circuit limit is changed and shown differently on Kite after the circuit limit is hit. On NSE, the circuit limits are updated on the same day after the market closes at around 5:00 PM. The circuit limits are updated for BSE the next day at 06:45 AM before the markets open.

Equity derivatives don’t have circuit limits. However, there is a dynamic price band of 10%. The exchange has a fixed operating range of 10% on either side to ensure trading is done within the specified range to prevent erroneous order entry.
