How to dematerialise physical shares inherited from a deceased person?
The name in the company records needs to be changed to dematerialise physical shares inherited from a deceased person. The Registrar and Transfer Agency (RTA) should be contacted to update the name as per the inheritor’s demat account. To learn how to dematerialise, see

- A notarised copy of the death certificate of the deceased holder.
