Why is my demat account frozen?

The demat account can be frozen for multiple reasons. The top reasons are:

• ITO Attachment
• SEBI DirectiveOrder from CBI / Police
• Order from Special Recovery Officer
• KYC deficiency reported by CDSL
• Mandatory 6 KYC Non-Compliant Account
• KYC Verification Non-Compliant Account
• Minor Attained Majority
• Trading Window Closure Period
