If an F&O position results in taking delivery of the stock, when will the stocks show up on Kite?
When stock options that are in the money (ITM) and futures positions expire, they will result in physical settlement. If the physical settlement leads to the delivery of stock, the client's demat account will receive the stock by the next trading day (T+1 day). For instance, if the F&O expiry is on Thursday, the delivery will be settled by Friday evening.
If there is a counterparty short delivery, the credit of shares can take up to 2 working days after expiry. The client may receive partial delivery, with the remaining quantity being delivered on T+2. If the exchange is unable to purchase shares in the Auction market, the position may be fully or partially cash settled.
