How to add a nominee(s) to the Zerodha account offline?

To add nominees to the Zerodha account offline, courier the nomination form (PDF) to:

If you need to add an additional nominee to your account, you must send the account modification form (PDF) and the nominee form (PDF). In the account modification form, mention your existing nominee under the Existing details section, and mention both your existing nominee and the new nominee you want to add under the New details section. You can also update or modify nominee details in Zerodha.

Things to keep in mind

• Your nominees' names must match their documents to facilitate easier claims in adverse situations
• If Zerodha deactivates your account due to inactivity for 24 consecutive months and you do not complete Re-KYC within 30 days, Zerodha will send an email to your nominees.
  
• You cannot add nominees to non-individual accounts
• If your nominee is a minor, mention the guardian details and provide ID proof of the guardian. You cannot be added as the guardian of your nominee
• For minor accounts, you cannot add the guardian as the nominee
• Your nominee applies to your trading and demat account, including mutual fund investments made through Coin
• If you have a dormant account, you must reactivate your account to add a nominee.
• You cannot add charitable trusts as nominees
• Joint account holders can only add nominees offline
• NRIs can add nominees online, provided their Aadhaar is linked to their active mobile number
