How to enable Kite login access for a minor account?

You can enable Kite login access for a minor account that was opened with Zerodha before January 2024 (where only a demat account was opened) by submitting the required documents and completing verification.

Documents you need to submit

  • Trading application form (PDF) and Most Important Terms and Conditions (MITC) (PDF): The guardian must sign these forms and affix a passport-size photo of the minor on the KYC page.
  • KYC documents (if KYC status is not verified): Submit copies of the minor's PAN and address proof (passport or Aadhaar) attested by the guardian. If submitting Aadhaar as proof, ensure a masked Aadhaar is provided.

Where to send documents

Courier the documents to:

Zerodha Customer Support Centre
192A 4th Floor,
Kalyani Vista, 3rd Main Road,
JP Nagar 4th Phase,
Bengaluru, 560076

Complete the In-Person Verification (IPV). Both the guardian and the minor must be clearly visible.

Check the filled sample trading form (PDF) for reference.

The trading account will be enabled within 72 working hours, and the login credentials will be sent to the registered email ID. Minors with Kite access can place equity sell orders, buy mutual funds and apply for IPOs, buybacks, and takeovers. However, securities cannot be purchased in the minor account.
