How to migrate from Orbis CP to Zerodha’s Non-PIS account?

You can switch from your existing CP code setup to the Non-PIS account to trade F&O without CP code restrictions. As per the SEBI circular, the mandatory CP code requirement for NRIs has been removed, allowing you to access all trading segments directly through your NRO Non-PIS account.

Before you begin

Complete these requirements before starting the migration:

  • Close all open positions in your CP code account
  • Withdraw all funds from your CP code account
  • Verify no pending settlements or obligations

Steps to migrate

  1. Request CP code deactivation from Orbis: Email [email protected] and confirm that you have closed all positions and withdrawn all funds. Wait for Orbis to send deactivation confirmation.
  2. Request migration from Zerodha: Once Orbis confirms deactivation, share the confirmation email by creating a ticket.
  3. Complete migration: After Zerodha receives your request, wait up to 72 working hours for processing. You will receive confirmation from Zerodha when the migration is completed.
