Why can't I find the status of my IPO allotment on the RTA's portal?

Your IPO application is submitted to the exchange who then passes it on to the Sponsor bank to the issue. The Sponsor bank pushes a mandate request to your UPI app for blocking funds. 

After the IPO window closes, the Registrar (RTA) to the issue checks the applications to mark an allotment against them and puts the records up on their website. In some cases, the RTAs do not show unallotted applications on their portal or throw up one of the following errors:

  1. No Records found
  2. PAN not found
  3. Bid not found
You can confirm the application submission status on NSE's website to check if your bid was placed.
