The in-app UPI feature on the Coin app allows you to make payments for mutual funds without switching to external payment apps like GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, or BHIM. You need to register with your primary bank account that's linked with Zerodha to use in-app UPI payments.
Setting up UPI on Coin app
To set up UPI on your Coin app:
- Tap on Account.
- Tap on Payments.
- Tap on UPI.
- Select the number that is linked with the primary bank account if there are dual sims.
- Tap on Send SMS.
- Read important safety checkpoints and tap on OK, I UNDERSTAND.
- Bank accounts linked to the phone number will be displayed. Select the primary bank account linked to Zerodha and tap on Continue.
You can also set up UPI as a first-time user while making payments for purchases through the Coin app. Make sure to register your primary bank account that's linked with Zerodha for in-app UPI. You may see a KYC registration error if you try to register any banks other than your primary bank linked with Zerodha.
Once you register UPI with your primary bank account linked with Zerodha, you can make payments using in-app UPI.
