Why is there a difference between the holdings value on Console and Kite?

Your holdings on Kite only include instruments that are listed and actively traded on exchanges. However, your holdings values may differ between Kite and Console because of:

  1. Suspended, delisted, or unlisted shares: These shares are not actively traded and may not appear with accurate values on Kite.
  2. Shares categorised as GSM 3 or above: These shares are traded on exchanges only once a week.
  3. Locked-in shares: These include shares obtained through ESOPs (Employee Stock Ownership Plans) or shares subject to lock-in periods.

Impact on displayed values

The value of these specific holdings may not be accurately reflected on Kite, which creates a discrepancy between the holdings you see on Kite and Console. Console provides a comprehensive view of all your holdings, while Kite focuses on actively tradeable instruments.
