The dividend figure for an Infrastructure Investment Trust (InvIT) on Kite’s Fundamentals widget might appear differently on other platforms. This is because Kite and other platforms use different definitions of what counts as a distribution for InvITs.
Why the numbers differ
InvITs distribute income to unitholders across three different components
- Dividend income
- Interest income
- Return of capital (debt repayment)
Kite’s Fundamentals widget displays only the dividend part of the distribution. Other platforms might show the total distribution as the sum of all three components, which would make the dividend appear higher.
