Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Does pre-applying for an IPO increase the chances of stock allotment?

No. Pre-applying allows you to place your order one or two days before the issue officially opens, but it does not alter or increase your chances of stock allotment.

What is the deadline to accept the UPI mandate for the NSE IPO?

The deadline to accept the UPI mandate for the NSE IPO is 7:00 PM on the closing day, 21 September 2026.

What is the cut-off price?

Bidding at the cut-off price indicates your agreement to purchase the stocks at the final price fixed by the company within the price band (₹1700 to ₹1785). Selecting the cut-off price ensures your bid remains valid even if the final issue price is set at the upper limit. Bids submitted below the final issue price are rejected.

What should be done if the mandate is delayed or contains incorrect details?

Mandates are generated by the bank and relayed through the exchange. If the mandate is delayed or contains incorrect details, wait for the correct mandate request to arrive on your UPI app and accept it before 7:00 PM on 21 September 2026. Zerodha does not control mandate generation or fund processing. Contact your bank directly for any issues regarding blocked funds.

What happens if an updated mandate is not received after modifying the application?

Wait for the new mandate request to arrive. If the updated mandate does not arrive, the previously accepted mandate remains valid for the original application.

Why is the payment status on Kite not updated after accepting the mandate?

The payment status on Kite is updated directly from the exchange and may experience delays. You can ignore the status delay on Kite as long as the funds are blocked in your bank account and the application number matches the mandate. The application is considered successful in this scenario.

Can High Net-Worth Individual (HNI) applications be cancelled or modified?

High Net-Worth Individual (HNI) applications cannot be cancelled or modified downwards once submitted.

How can HUF, NRI, and corporate accounts apply for the IPO?

Hindu Undivided Family (HUF) and Non-Resident Indian (NRI) account holders can apply on Kite using UPI or through netbanking ASBA. Corporate accounts (companies, partnerships, LLPs, AOPs, trusts, and societies) cannot apply using UPI and must use netbanking ASBA. Sole proprietorship bank accounts or current bank accounts can be used if the bank account name matches your PAN details.

Can multiple applications be submitted using different demat accounts under the same PAN?

No. Multiple applications submitted for the same IPO using different demat accounts mapped to the same Permanent Account Number (PAN) are rejected as duplicate applications.

When are UPI mandate requests sent for orders placed on Kite?

Orders placed between 09:00 AM and 7:00 PM receive UPI mandate requests on the same day. Orders placed after 7:00 PM receive mandate requests on the next business day.

Where can the application and allotment status be tracked?

You can track your application and allotment status on the BSE website or the registrar portal. View all active public issues on the upcoming IPOs page, or refer to support.zerodha.com/category/console/ipo for additional queries.
