You cannot repurchase stocks on the same day after selling them from your MTF holdings. The system displays the error MTF buy order is not allowed for the day as there is an MTF holding sell position in this stock to prevent this.
How to repurchase the stock
If you need to repurchase the stock to maintain your MTF positions, you can place a buy Cash and Carry (CNC) order instead. You must bring in the required funds for this purchase.
Your MTF positions will be restored on the following day.
