When can I withdraw my funds if I sell my shares or close my positions today?
Funds from stock holdings sold, and intraday profits gets added to withdrawal balance after two days. F&O profits, and funds from F&O positions exited will get added to withdrawal balance after one day. This is because exchanges in India follow a rolling settlement cycle. Check this article for more.
For example, if you sell your shares on Monday, the funds received from the sale can be withdrawn on Wednesday evening. (However, the proceeds from the sale can be used immediately to make new trades)
In case of derivatives, since the settlement cycle is Trade day +1, if you close your position on Monday you will be able to withdraw the proceeds (margins, MTM) on Tuesday evening.
Note: Intraday equity profits will be available for withdrawal on Trade day+2, Intraday F&O profits will be available for withdrawal on Trade day+1.
