The exchange (PDF) has mandated position limits (WEB) in currency derivatives. The following limits are set:

USDINR: 85000 lots.
EURINR and GBPINR: 5000 lots.
JPYINR: 2000 lots.

The order will be rejected with the rejection message Clientwise position limit exceeds ,Current:5000.00, limit set:4999.00 for entity account-(user id) across exchange across segment across product if the positions are placed beyond these limits.
