Layouts and templates are used to customise a chart.
- Layouts include chart type, drawings, style, background, indicators, single and multiple chart views, etc.
- Templates include indicators and timeframes applicable to the charts of all the other instruments.
To save layouts and templates, follow these steps:
Layouts:
- Open a chart, apply drawings and other chart settings.

Click on
Save,
enter a name for the chart layout and click on
Save.
Templates:
- Open a chart, and apply the timeframe and indicators.
- Click on Indicator Templates and then on Save Indicator template.
- Enter a template name and check the Remember Interval checkbox.
- Click on Save.
Loading Layouts and Templates: The saved layouts and templates can be loaded from the saved list.
You can also enable autosave for your TradingView charts. Once enabled, your chart settings and drawings will automatically be saved as your default layout after remaining unchanged for 10 seconds. You can enable or disable autosave by following these steps:

- Right-click on the chart.
- Click on Enable autosave.
You can follow the same steps to disable autosave.
Kite app
- Tap on the settings icon.
- Tap on Enable autosave.

Did you know? You can set any custom layout as the default layout by clicking on the Save as default layout icon. The settings saved as the default layout can be accessed by opening the chart on any device, as they are saved in the cloud.
