You cannot use volume chart indicators for indices like Nifty because indices do not have trading volume data available.
Volume chart indicators show you the number of shares or contracts that traders buy and sell within a specific timeframe. However, you cannot trade indices like Nifty directly. Instead, you trade indices through futures and options (F&O) contracts or exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
Since no actual trading takes place in the index itself, no volume data exists. The index simply reflects the weighted average price of its constituent stocks, so volume-based indicators will not display data for index charts.
