You can activate Demat Debit and Pledge Instruction (DDPI) for your NSDL demat account only through offline submission. You need to courier the completed DDPI form to Zerodha.
Steps to activate DDPI
- Download and complete the DDPI form (PDF).
- Ensure your signature on the DDPI matches your previously uploaded signature with your NSDL demat account.
- For non-individual accounts, add your company seal along with the signature.
- Send your completed DDPI form to:

DDPI will be activated within 24 working hours after the form is processed. You will receive a confirmation email once we complete the activation.
Things to keep in mind
- For minor accounts: The guardian who opened the account must sign the forms to enable DDPI.
- For guidance: Refer to the sample copy of the DDPI (PDF) to understand where to sign and how to complete the form correctly.
You will be charged ₹100 + 18% GST to enable DDPI. Ensure you maintain sufficient balance in your Zerodha account, as this charge will be deducted from your Zerodha account.
