You see this error message because exchanges take 1 to 3 working days to activate your account after Zerodha submits your account details. Even though you have successfully opened your Zerodha account, you cannot trade until the exchanges complete their activation process. If an order is placed before the exchange activates the equity or commodity segment, the error is displayed. If the error is displayed even after 3 working days, please create a ticket.
The following restrictions apply during the pending activation period:
- Buy and sell orders cannot be placed.
- Funds cannot be added to the account.
- Console: The central dashboard for the Zerodha account cannot be accessed.
