How to add money to my account using UPI?
To add money to your account using UPI, follow the steps below:
On Kite app
- Click on Funds .
- Click on Add Funds , and enter the amount.
- Click on UPI and Select the UPI app

On the UPI app, you will receive a collect request from Zerodha. Enter your UPI PIN and approve the transfer. Ensure you make the payment from the collect request only and not by initiating a new transfer to Zerodha’s VPA UPI ID.
On Kite web
- Under the Funds tab, click on Add funds.
- Enter the amount and select UPI as the Payment mode.
- Enter your UPI ID linked to your bank account that is registered with Zerodha.

On the UPI app, you will receive a collect request from Zerodha. Enter your UPI PIN and approve the transfer. Ensure you make the payment from the collect request only and not by initiating a new transfer to Zerodha’s VPA UPI ID.
You will see a confirmation on the Zerodha payment page as shown below:
The funds will start reflecting instantly in your account under Pay-in in the Funds tab.
If you have the UPI app installed on another device, the collect request will have to be validated on the other device.
Did you know?
- UPI transfer has a limit of ₹2,00,000/- per day. Your bank may have further restrictions on the amount per transaction that you will have to check with your banks. For example, Bank of India allows only ₹10,000 per transaction.
- You can make up to 35 transfers per day.
- If you transfer funds to your trading account between 12 AM and 7:30 AM, it won't reflect on your trading terminal until after 7:30 AM.
