What is an App Code and why is it displayed on Kite app?

App Code is a Time-based One-Time Password (TOTP) generated on the Kite app and is required to log in to Kite web. The code is valid for 30 seconds, after which a new code is generated. However, app code is not required if an external TOTP is used to log in to Kite.
