You need to submit specific forms and supporting documents to open your Zerodha account as a foreign national or OCI residing in India. All documents must be within their validity periods when submitting your application. If any expire before you complete the account opening process, you'll need to obtain new copies.

Ensure to fill up the two-letter country code. It can be found by visiting

FATCA Declaration:
Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) declaration
(PDF).
Tax Identification Number (TIN) must be filled in the FATCA declaration. The common TINs are as follows:
- USA: SSN, EIN or ITIN
- Canada: SIN
- UK: UTR or NINO
- Singapore: NRIC or FIN
- Australia: TFN
- Self-attested copy of the supporting documents:

- Indian PAN
- Tax ID proof from your country of origin
- Passport
- Indian address proof
- Indian resident bank account.
- OCI card (if applicable)
Submission process
- Email soft copies to [email protected] for review.
- Make corrections if requested.
- Courier documents with ₹500 cheque payable to Zerodha Broking Limited to:
