How to check how many demat accounts I have?
The number of demat accounts held by an investor can be identified through the Consolidated Account Statement (CAS). This statement provides a summary of all transactions and holdings across demat accounts maintained with both CDSL and NSDL, as well as mutual fund units held in Statement of Account (SOA) form through mutual fund registrars and transfer agents (MF-RTAs).
A CAS is sent monthly if a transaction has taken place in the investor's demat accounts or mutual fund folios. If there are no transactions during a month, CAS is sent half-yearly.
